New Google Chrome


Google has now updated the Chrome Browser by the developer and stable. Google now released The Beta Channel. The new beta is 25% faster than the V8 benchmark and is 35% faster ont he Sunspider benchmark. The current stable channel is pretty much twice as fast as when compared to the original beta version..

Kellan Lutz denied at New Moon afterparty

At the premiere party of "The Twilight Saga: New Moon, " Kellan Lutz and a friend weren't allowed inside. At a point, the guard and Kellan got physical and shoved eachother. Kellan seemed to be very upset that they didnt know who he was. He was yelling to his fans, "It's my party and they wont let me in!" and the crowd responded by saying, "Let him in!" Security eventually realized who he was. With an apology, he let Kellan into the afterparty.

Facebook Worm

A new virus is going around Facebook. The chief research officer for AVG, Roger Thompson, said that there is a worm and it works by infecting one user and using their profile page and news feed to show a scantily clad girl. If you click the picture you are taken to the attack website where you are asked to click a button to 'see something hot'. If you clink on the button, your profile and status are updated to show the scantily clad girl, and thereby entice all your friends to the same page.

Facebook saves a teen's life

Rodney Bradford, 19, was ecstatic to hear that Facebook probably saved his life. He was arrested on October 17, for a robbery of two men in a public housing apartment in Brooklyn. At the time he was said to have been committing a crime, he had a Facebook status update that said, "WHERE MY IHOP (International House of Pancakes)?" The status update was one minute before the robbery was said to happen.

Youtube now has captions

Youtube is now introducing Machine-Generated Automatic Captioning. The captions can also be translated in 51 languages. This is amazing for the hearing-impaired and language translation. Automatic captions will be generated using Google's automated speed recognition (ASR) technology and the same voice recognition used in Google Voice.

AOL cuts 2,500 jobs


AOL has announced it will be cutting 2,500 jobs, or pretty much one third of its staff. According to AOL, the cuts should cost about $200 million in severance and restructuring charges, but wind up saving the company about $300 million per year. The cutoffs will start with volunteers and then the company will choose.

Justin Bieber's funfilled mall appearance

When Justin Bieber arrived for an autograph signing on November 21, he was caught in quite the commotion in Long Island, NY. There were about three thousand screaming fans, which made mall security and police concerned about the security risks. Eventually the mall appearance was cancelled, since Bieber wasn't allowed to come into the mall for safety reasons. The police urged Island Def Jam VP, James Roppo, to post a message on Justin Bieber's Twitter account to tell the girls to leave and to stop more to come. Roppo refused to post a twitter status, and then he was arrested.

Google Smartphone


T-Mobile Inc., Google Inc. and HTC Corp. are announcing the very long awaited G1 Android phone in New York on Tuesday. In an event, they announced the pricing, $179, availability, users can subscribe to a limited data plan for $25 a month or $35 for unlimited data access, and they emphasized that the software is an open source. The G1 Android came out on October 22.

Following the September ninth debut of The Beatles digitally re-mastered the whole catalog on CD, Apple Corps Ltd. and EMI Music are happy to announce the world-wide release f the limited edition of only 30,000 Beatles Stereo USB apples on December 8. The USB, apple shaped, is loaded with The Beatles 14 stereo titles. It is fully capable to work with either Macs or PCs.

Breckenridge, Colorado legalized marijuana

The voters in the ski resort town of Breckenridge legalized marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia by nearly a three to one margin a couple days ago. It is the first municipality in the U.S. that allows paraphernalia, including pipes, bongs, and bubblers. "Possession remains illegal under state law, but Breckenridge Police Chief Rick Holman said his department will 'still have the ability to exercise discretion,'" Colorado's Summit Daily News added.

New World Record For Grand Theft Auto

There is now a new world record holder for playing Grand Theft Auto IV with a game lasting 40 hours and 20 minutes. Chirantan Patnaik is the 26 year old record holder from Mumbai. He did take four short breaks during the marathan, but the guidelines for the world record stated that he could have a 10-minute break every hour. He has his name down in the world records book.

The New Palm Pixie


Sprint has come out with a new phone, Palm Pixie. It has a tiny, sleek webOS-based handset which will be coming in the holiday season. It has a 2 megapixel camera, with flash, and a fully keyboard. Along with the handset, the Palm will offer five artist-designed back covers in the Palm Pixie Artist Series. The Pixie will be about 149.99 dollars and will come out soon. Paranormal Activity is now the world's scariest top grossing movie, beating Saw. It made $61,580,588 dollars. It is rated R for language and is about 1 hour and 40 minuets long. iPhone vs Droid

The iPhone has a new target. The Droid. The Droid is said to be better than the iPhone for having a network that will actually let you connect people's calls consistently. The Droid hasn't officially announced a release date yet, but it is expected to launch midnight, October 31. The Droid is defiantly not going to be the iPhone killer, but it is expected to do very well. The iPhone has a clearer screen and cleaner cut than the Droid. If it doesn't matter to you if you can see the screen clearer, then its up to you to decide which one is better.

Twitter Making Wine?

Twitter, valued at 1 billion dollars and known for its "tweets", announced that it's launching a wine label. The label will be called Fledging Wine. It is partnering up with Crushpad, a custom winemaking service, located in San Francisco. A portion of the proceeds will go to the non-profit organization for reading libraries in Asia and Africa, Room to Read. The first wines will be released in August 2010, which will be a Pinot Noir and a Chardonnay. Each bottle will be 20 dollars and the Room to Read foundation will receive 5 dollars out of the 20.

New Polaroid Digital Camera


Even though their aren't any more Polaroid film cameras, you can still have instant photos with the new PoGo. The PoGo is an instant digital camera, like the Polaroid. It is a compact snap shooter with a built-in printer that lets you capture and instantly print 2 by 3 photos. The estimated price for the PoGo is around 200 dollars. It is supposed to hit stores in July, 2010. The Pogo is an ink less system that uses heat-activated dye crystals to produce an image in about a minute. The back of the photos have an adhesive backing so you can also use them as double stickers. The camera has a 3 inch screen for you to view what you are taking pictures of, or to view what picture you just took. The paper you use can come in a set of 30, for 12.99, or you can buy one for 43 cents each. It is not expected for it to have great pictures because of the super cheap prices, but we will have to just wait and see.

The Blackberry Storm 2

Verizon Wireless has made a new version of the Blackberry Storm, the Blackberry Storm 2. The new blackberry has been improved from the original. The new version has a more user-friendly screen. They are now using SurePress that uses a new display, piezo electric, that can detect many amounts of pressure from pushing down on the screen. The Storm 2's new screen goes rigid when switched off and becomes squishy when it has power. The Blackberry Storm 2 will be available at Verizon stores in October. Woman Arrested for Facebook Poking?


A 36 year old woman, Shannon D. Jackson, was arrested in Tennessee for poking somebody on Facebook. The poking violated an order of protection, which stated that no telephoning, contacting, or otherwise communicating with the petitioner was allowed. Because of her violating her restraining order, she is now charged with a Class A misdemeanor and will serve up to eleven months and twenty nine days in jail and a fine of $2,500.

NASA blasted a missile to the moon. Ever since two weeks ago when scientists found water on the moon, they wanted to blow up a tiny part of the moon to see it any ice or large body of water was found within the moon. Scientists are sending the missile twice as fast as a bullet into the moon on october 8.

Water on the Moon!

Scientists have found water on the moon. On September 25, the new findings from NASA's Luner Reconnaissance Orbiter, the moon is still drier than any desert on Earth, but there is said to be water in some very small quantities. 40 years ago, Apollo astronauts returned from the moon with lunar rocks that had water bound minerals. Some say that in the future NASA will be putting a water base building for the water to be turned into drinking water. So maybe eventually we will be drinking water from the moon!

Cyborg Beetles

Now the Army has made a remote-controlled beetle. Scientists at the University of California developed this cyborg beetle. Flight plans are wirelessly sent to the beetle via a radio frequency transmitter that is controlled by a laptop that has to be nearby or else it would be to far. The battery is on the bug's optic lobes and flight muscles. If the army uses this bug, the insect will keen to carry a small camera and probably a heat sensor but for right now, scientists are still doing work on the cyborg beetle. The Honda Company have come up with different transportation automobiles for about 30 years. They make motorcycles, cars and high-end lawn mowers. The Japanese firm has now come up with a battery powered unicycle. This unicycle is mainly for transporting the elderly around. You movie it with leaning to whatever side you want to go. It also comes with a seat and pedals. the picture to the right is how the unicycle looks like when someone is on it.

We all know that iPhone has a lot of applications so you can watch movies, but having Netflix would be better and a lot more interesting watching movies on the iPhone. The New Four Screen Laptop

Intel has now come up with a new four screen laptop which includes a 15-inch screen and 3 OLED touch screens below. The main idea is to run passive apps on the little screens, even though they are integrated with the main screen. You can get content up to view it full-sized. You can also use a mouse instead of using your fingers. This laptop is most defiantly going to be a hit, but some people think it would be hard to run this computer so we will just have to wait and see.

Harry Potter coming to Universal in Orlando, Florida

Harry Potter and his friends are coming to Orlando, Florida. It will feature Hogwarts castle, Hogs meat station, and shops where visitors can purchase a variety of stuff. It is pretty much a theme park inside a theme park. It will tie in with all seven of the Harry Potter books: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Renewing Star Tours!

The very famous Star Tours attraction at Disneyland is soon getting a face-lift in 2011. The attraction has been there for nearly 3o years. Frank Oz, voice of Yoda, and Anthony Daniels, voice of C-3P0, have fueled speculation about a new attraction by telling the news anchors in news interviews. The Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland Paris wont be apart of the renewing the Star Tours attraction.

Kanye West ruins Taylor Swift's moment

On September 13, 2009, at the Video Music Awards(VMAS), Taylor Swift won Best Female Video for "You Belong With Me" and while she was saying her acceptance speech, Kanye West went up on stage and interrupted her to say that Beyonce's video was one of the best videos of all time. Swift was left standing there, speechless while the crowd booed West. For the rest of the night, every time is name was brought up, the crowd booed him. When Beyonce won the award for Video of The Year, she called Taylor Swift back up and let her say her acceptance speech. The results show that a person who listens to music every day has a better blood pressure, heart rate, and has a less of a chance of heart failure. Studies also show that music has a good chance of lowering your anxiety level. Some doctors say that they would rather their patients to listen to happy songs rather than heavy metal songs so that you can be calm and your blood pressure doesn't go up.

The New Ipod Nano

In the Apple's Event in San Francisco yesterday, Apple announced that they have come up with a new set up for the Nano Ipod-the fifth dimension. They have made the screen wider and have put new applications in the ipod, which will increase the amount of people buying them, rather than the third dimension which was a huge step backwards for Apple. The new ipod nano can come in a 8GB and a 16GB. Now on the back of the Nano, there is a video camera. So now, you can record a video, take pictures, and voice record on your ipod. Monopoly goes to computers.



Monopoly has now come up with a new version of the family friendly board game. Google and Hasbro teamed up to try to make the Monopoly game global on Google Map, named Monopoly City Streets. In the beginning of the game, you start with 3 million dollars and then you will be able to go into the virtual world of Monopoly with real-world streets, money, and many more cool virtual applications. Facebook Lite


Facebook has now come up with an entirely different version of the original Facebook website. It is mainly made for the people that dont understand what to do with the Facebook original. All you pretty much do on Facebook Lite is update your status. Facebook Lite is pretty much exactly like Twitter. They have become almost like enemies. They have been competing with each other and Facebook Lite will eventually be better than Twitter since you can check your Wall, Info, Friends, and Photos & Videos. If you look up that is what Facebook Lite looks like.

T.V. turns 3-D

Sony Television hopes to get a 3-D television into your house by the end of 2010. They will be making a third dimensional televisions, laptops, and PS3 consuls so they can all play third dimensional media. Of coarse there are many forms of 3-D out in the world but Sony is using the active shutter message which can make you watch something in third dimension on your television.
