Kellan Lutz denied at New Moon afterparty

At the premiere party of "The Twilight Saga: New Moon, " Kellan Lutz and a friend weren't allowed inside. At a point, the guard and Kellan got physical and shoved eachother. Kellan seemed to be very upset that they didnt know who he was. He was yelling to his fans, "It's my party and they wont let me in!" and the crowd responded by saying, "Let him in!" Security eventually realized who he was. With an apology, he let Kellan into the afterparty.

Facebook Worm

A new virus is going around Facebook. The chief research officer for AVG, Roger Thompson, said that there is a worm and it works by infecting one user and using their profile page and news feed to show a scantily clad girl. If you click the picture you are taken to the attack website where you are asked to click a button to 'see something hot'. If you clink on the button, your profile and status are updated to show the scantily clad girl, and thereby entice all your friends to the same page.

Facebook saves a teen's life

Rodney Bradford, 19, was ecstatic to hear that Facebook probably saved his life. He was arrested on October 17, for a robbery of two men in a public housing apartment in Brooklyn. At the time he was said to have been committing a crime, he had a Facebook status update that said, "WHERE MY IHOP (International House of Pancakes)?" The status update was one minute before the robbery was said to happen.

Youtube now has captions

Youtube is now introducing Machine-Generated Automatic Captioning. The captions can also be translated in 51 languages. This is amazing for the hearing-impaired and language translation. Automatic captions will be generated using Google's automated speed recognition (ASR) technology and the same voice recognition used in Google Voice.

AOL cuts 2,500 jobs


AOL has announced it will be cutting 2,500 jobs, or pretty much one third of its staff. According to AOL, the cuts should cost about $200 million in severance and restructuring charges, but wind up saving the company about $300 million per year. The cutoffs will start with volunteers and then the company will choose.

Justin Bieber's funfilled mall appearance

When Justin Bieber arrived for an autograph signing on November 21, he was caught in quite the commotion in Long Island, NY. There were about three thousand screaming fans, which made mall security and police concerned about the security risks. Eventually the mall appearance was cancelled, since Bieber wasn't allowed to come into the mall for safety reasons. The police urged Island Def Jam VP, James Roppo, to post a message on Justin Bieber's Twitter account to tell the girls to leave and to stop more to come. Roppo refused to post a twitter status, and then he was arrested.

Google Smartphone


T-Mobile Inc., Google Inc. and HTC Corp. are announcing the very long awaited G1 Android phone in New York on Tuesday. In an event, they announced the pricing, $179, availability, users can subscribe to a limited data plan for $25 a month or $35 for unlimited data access, and they emphasized that the software is an open source. The G1 Android came out on October 22.

The Beatles Apple USB

Following the September ninth debut of The Beatles digitally re-mastered the whole catalog on CD, Apple Corps Ltd. and EMI Music are happy to announce the world-wide release f the limited edition of only 30,000 Beatles Stereo USB apples on December 8. The USB, apple shaped, is loaded with The Beatles 14 stereo titles. It is fully capable to work with either Macs or PCs.

Breckenridge, Colorado legalized marijuana

The voters in the ski resort town of Breckenridge legalized marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia by nearly a three to one margin a couple days ago. It is the first municipality in the U.S. that allows paraphernalia, including pipes, bongs, and bubblers. "Possession remains illegal under state law, but Breckenridge Police Chief Rick Holman said his department will 'still have the ability to exercise discretion,'" Colorado's Summit Daily News added.

New World Record For Grand Theft Auto

There is now a new world record holder for playing Grand Theft Auto IV with a game lasting 40 hours and 20 minutes. Chirantan Patnaik is the 26 year old record holder from Mumbai. He did take four short breaks during the marathan, but the guidelines for the world record stated that he could have a 10-minute break every hour. He has his name down in the world records book.
