Indie Bands Are Coming to Rock Band and Guitar Hero

Rock Band is now letting some indie bands into their franchise. Most record companies tell musicians that they shouldn't do anything like Rock Band or Guitar Hero without a larger upfront payments, but if they do Rock Band or Guitar Hero, the bands would have a lot more fans. Its cool that Harmonix and MTV Games are making it easier for independent artists to get their music into the games. We dont know yet which bands are going to be in the Rock Bands or Guitar Hero's, but we will find out soon.

The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien-cancelled

Conan O'Brien's show, The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien, is now cancelled. NBC has been having a lot of problems with his show and The Jay Leno Show. Leno's show has been having low ratings compared to the very high ratings of Conan's. The Tonight Show got off to a very good start, but eventually the ratings rapidly dropped. It is now tied with the Late Show with David Letterman. As a result, NBC has cancelled O'Brien and brought back Leno to the Tonight Show. The details are still being worked out but O'Brien's final show could come as soon as January 22nd. Luckily for Conan, his exit deal will not prohibit him from going to a competitor. He will most likely end up doing a late night show for another network. At one time, it seemed like he would of gone to ABC but now, he has the option of FOX.
