China suing Google

China is suing Google. The Google Books project raised objections from the authors and publishers in the US, France, Germany, and other countries. Google also reached a settlement with the US authors and publishers last year over a copyright infringement suit filed in 2005. Overall, Google agreed to pay 125 million dollars to resolve outstanding claims and establish an independent unit to provide revenue rom sales and advertising to authors and publish who agree to digitize their books.
